In the chapters 10-14 it mentions many McCandless types. I believe that Jon Krakauer, Leo Tolstoy, Loren Johnson; Chris's grandpa on his mothers side, and Jack London are all McCandless types. The first one I will mention is Loren Johnson. Like Chris, Loren didn't fit into society very well. Loren was also very stubborn and proud just like Chris. They got along very well because they were so similar. Loren hunted, but hated it and felt bad for killing the animals, but had to so he could support his family. Jack London relates to Chris because of his adventures and stories. He also went to places like Alaska and California to explore and wrote stories. Like Chris he was very socialistic also. Jon Krakauer was like Chris because he like to explore and push himself to the limit. He was different though because Jon was a bit more safe. Tolstoy was like Chris because of his childhood and views.
